Description: Antique 19th Century Pastel Painting White Mountains NH Artist Signed in Original Frame. The frame measures 11 1/2" x 15 1/2" that fits 10" x 14"; the artwork card alone is 5 1/2" x 9 1/8". The art is signed lower left corner, hard to read but to me looks like M Richardson and my guess is the artist might be Mary Neal Richardson who made New England pastel landscapes from the late 19th century era. Titled in 2 spots - Among The White Mountains NH. Frame is genuine original with a great example of Art Nouveau. I removed it from the frame as the glass needed to be cleaned, the artwork looks good with perhaps a couple pinhead spots of age toning, the matte has age toning and darkening caused by the original pine backing boards, the original Art Nouveau gesso on wood frame is solid & sturdy with minor flaking, glass panel is original and fine. I left this taken apart and I can mail it with frame or without if the buyer wanted to save some postage costs but I would think the original frame would be desirable.
