He subsequently went to work at architectual firms in Honolulu and the Mainland before winning a scholarship to Harvard University school of architecture.After graduation and employment at a Boston firm, he returned to Honolulu, where he served from 1935 to 1950 as an architect for the Hawaiian Sugar Plantaters Association.From 1950 to 1970 he helped set the pace for island architecture through his own firm. Vierra's work included the War Memorial of the Pacific at Punchbowl; the terminal at Honolulu International Airport and other terminals at Hilo, Kamuela and Molokai; the Liliuokalani Protestant Church in Haleiwa; and several buildings at the Kamehameha Schools.He was a member of the American Institute of Architects and a member of the Scottish Rite Columbia Lodge for more than 50 years. -Very good condition.
