Description: From the famous Foire de Chatou, the large brocante or French flea market held twice yearly for over a century on the outskirts of Paris. Original oil on canvas rural French Impressionist landscape, signed and dated May, 1916. Featuring a bucolic rural scene of dairy cows grazing in a green field, surrounded by mature trees. Excellent antique condition showing light wear only. This piece was originally framed in a non descript wooden frame which was not original, and the frame did not survive the shipping process, hence the new professional frame.
