Description: ORIGINAL 1862 'CAMP BELGER BALTIMORE MD - 38TH REGIMENT MASSACHUSETTS VOLUNTEERS COL TIMOTHY INGRAHAM. LT COL DK WARDELL, MAJOR WM L RODMAN' LITHOGRAPH PRINTED BY E SACHSE & CO, BALTIMORE MD This is just a great original piece. I had this print one other time about 10 years ago. These Civil War camp lithographs are coming harder and harder to find so every time I see one I try and buy it. This one I bought even though it had the cutout matte and I was for sure it was in terrible condition inside the beaten up frame. When I was able to get it out of the frame, I was very happy to see that this print is in much better than others I have seen and a slight cleaning away from being an outstanding example of this scarce print. Image measures 9 1/4 x 16 1/2 inches on complete original sheet measuring 14 x 19 3/4 inches. The image shows some obvious consistent toning where it was seen through the glass. The title bar also is toned in the same way. The rest of the print shows a much fainter and inconsistent toning. There are also pencil notations along the bottom margin as well as in the other margins that were used to help cut the matte and framing. Easily removed but I have left that for the new owner. Only other issue is a slight slice along the left margin into the paper. Really a very good example of this rare original Civil War print. FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES!
