Description: The very rare children's book in the photos is the actual item up for sale. The book has writing in pen on the first inside end page stating this was a gift to a former owner. There is heavy spotting to the front and back end pages but for the most part the illustrations and text pages are really quite nice. The outer spine is peeling, the hardcover has some minimal age wear, the binding is still decent. The last end page is beginning to come apart (see photo). There are no ripped or missing pages. After doing some research I believe this book was printed in 1883 but I'm not positive. The book was part of the Dutton's Rose and Lily Series. Please look at the photos closely.
