Description: offered by ...... CompanyStoreAntiques of Rhode Island A WORD ABOUT FEEDBACK: I am available to help at anytime, if a problem arises, just message me!Rare 19th century Edme Samson et Cie vases from the Amorial line made into lamps in the early 1900's. Lamp parts are early 1900's Leviton.HAND PAINTED WITH ARMORIAL SHIELD / COAT OF ARMS & LIONS, FLOWERS, MORIAGE Stunning hand-painted vintage lamp pair, porcelain and solid brass base. High end antique art lamp. This is an antique matched pair of Edme Samson et Cie European coat-of-arms lamps from their Amorial line. They have similar hand painted artwork and different Coats of Arms on each. I find no chips, cracks, or repairs...beautiful set in excellent condition (wiring needs to be updated but I am leaving this to the new owner who can decide on the appropriate level of wiring restoration, it still has its original wiring!). Worthy of display in the finest antique home.I believe the vases to be earlier than 1900, with conversion to electric lamps in the very early 1900's.The ceramic vase portions are 12 inches high. On top of the ceramic portion, the brass posts, sockets, and finial adjustment post add another foot, depending on adjustment. There is an adjustable post on top which your finial will go on....this allows for different lengths of lamp shades. Masterful construction and quality. (Finials not included).Simply stunning....a great find for the serious collector of antique lamps, vases, and art.The set has original wiring which is cloth covered and needs to be replaced.
