This handmade quilt is a sight to behold with its colorful and intricate patchwork design made of multi- colored velvet fabric pieces and yellow satin trim. The backside features a lovely purple floral design. This gorgeous quilt is perfect for collectors of antique art, Victorian history, or fabulous antique quilts. While the 54 inch x 72 inch size makes it a lap or throw size, because of its age and delicate condition, it is not recommended for daily use. The previous owner had displayed it as a wall hanging as evidenced by the Velcro strip sewn on one back edge (shown in the last picture). This quilt shows some age consistent bare spots on velvet patches and threadbare areas as shown in pictures. The satin trim shows sections of age related wear and damage as shown in pictures.
