Description: Antique 1 Gallon WEST TROY N.Y. POTTERY Jug with Stylized Cornucopia decoration and cobalt wash on pottery stamp. This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy from 1843 -1871. Height is 11 1/2", diameter of base is 7 1/4", weight 5 lbs.13 oz.. Please review pictures as they are part of the description and show overall condition. Picture # 6 is a closeup of the spout chip which shows it is smooth from wear, did not affect the jugs use. Picture # 9 shows two small hairline surface splits which are not cracks but splits in surface glazing occurring in manufacturing process. Purchased by us from 1750 House Antiques, Sheffield, MA in Oct.1976. We have owned 48 years. We consider the condition excellent for age and use wear. Shipment is box within a box.
