Description: Anthony Hope RUPERT OF HENTZAU first edition thus (1920s) Grosset & Dunlap HC w/ scarce DJ The copyright page shows 1898 but this actually a special edition published in the 1920s after the movie’s release in 1923 and illustrated with scenes from the Selznick cinematic production. Condition: NEAR FINE by antiquarian standards Spine, hinges and joints are tight and strong, some spine lean, lightly bumped corners and spine tips, unfaded, colorful and bright boards and cover art. Interior shows normal light foxing near paste-downs and endpapers otherwise clean, undamaged and free of writing. The VERY GOOD, scarce dust jacket is clipped and its condition is as pictured.
