I have a solution that may prevent yours from cracking or may prevent further damage once yours has started. Look to see if yours is cracking around the foam headband, that's where it starts. Once both sides have cracked, the plastic on the top side of the band will crack too only leaving the plastic that holds the screw. Once that cracks, it's over. Installation is very simple, wrap my product around the headband and thread the strap through the strap lock. Move it as close to the foam headband as you can then pull it tight.
