Description: This is a rare single page advertising handbill (flyer) promoting the three-week, National Tour engagement of the ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER, JIM STEINMAN, PATRICIA KNOP and GALE EDWARDS musical "WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND" at the Fifth Avenue Theatre in Seattle, Washington. (The World Premiere engagement of "Whistle Down the Wind" opened on December 12th, 1996 at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C. but due to mostly negative reviews, the Broadway opening that had been scheduled for April 17th, 1997, was subsequently cancelled. This tour, because of another revised script, was billed as the "American Premiere of a Magnificent New Production" opened September 9th, 2007 at Houston's Theatre Under the Stars and closed February 17th, 2008 at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, Virginia.) ..... The musical starred ERIC KUNZE and ANDREA ROSS and featured DANN FINK, NADINE JACOBSON, CAROLE DENISE JONES, GERRY McINTYRE, ADAM SHONKWILER, MATT SKRINCOSKY, GREG STONE, AUSTIN J. This was followed by productions at the New Olympus Theatre in Gloucester (October 1992), the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy, Scotland (August 1993), the George Square Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland (August 1993) and Sadlers Wells in London (December 1993). The Washington, D.C. production received a revised script with a new book by Patricia Knop, thus the claim of a World Premiere event .....
