Description: An Interesting Piece of Folk Art in the Form of a Turtle with a Glass Mason Jar on His Back tto be Used as a Candy Dispenser Hand made from what appears to be oak and stained a medium oak color. Very well constructed.The piece consists of a nicely fashioned turtle that stands 8 3/4" tall with an upside mason jar on its back. The jar is upside down and the top is affixed to the back of the turtle. The turtle's tale extends by using a lever. By using the lever, a hole opens under the jar to allow a piece of candy or other item to be dispensed from the bottom. When the tale is extended the turtle is 13" long and when it is not extended the turtle is 11" longIt is 7" wide at the widestHe has plastic eyes inserted into his head for a realist lookThe underside contains writing: April 87This wonderful piece of folk art is in excellent condition with absolutely no issues.
