Then I found out another movie I liked was based on one of her books Tim. When I read the summaries of various books of hers this one stood out to me. I just finished reading An Indecent Obsession and it is filled with plenty of drama and self introspection of the characters. It's set at the end of the Japanese war in a mental hospital in Ward X. Ward X is where soldiers who can't hack it are sent. There are only a few men there and one main nurse that takes care of them. A new patient shows up and things begin to change leading to many dramatic situations that are very well written by McCullough. I felt like I was there in every setting and each character is very believable. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a well written book and a good story with good characters.About the AuthorColleen McCullough was born in Wellington, New South Wales, working in hospitals in Sydney and London before moving to the Yale University Medical School to train as a nurse. There she wrote the phenomenal bestseller THE THORN BIRDS.
