Description: American Waltham Watch Co., open-face pocket watch, Model 1883, Grade No. 81, 15 jewels movement, with gold gilt finish, based on serial number 14451122, the estimated year of production was 1905. The case is in excellent condition and indicates "Philadelphia Watch Case, Co., Silverode, 346617". The case back shows a large locomotive coming forward to the right. The train design shows some wear, with some decrease in detail, but no damage.The dial is in excellent undamaged condition as are the hands and the markings. The watch works are clean in appearance and are functioning well. No accuracy guarantee on the vintage watch, but winding, running, setting all function properly, and in keeping it running for a number of days it keeps very good time. Setting is by pulling the winding stem upward. The case and overall appearance and function are all very pleasingly well preserved.
