American Flyer Train Set/w. Boxes, circa: 1948; 322 New York Central System

Description: American Flyer Train Set with Boxes 322 New York Central System Circa:1948. Includes: Steam Locomotive and Tender with pictured cars, track, switches, houses, original paper work and accessories as pictured. I noticed one of the houses has a train whistle which is interesting and one of the cars has a solenoid to open the cargo door. I am selling this item for a family member, she is the original owner and got the set at age 5. She has informed me that the set has been in storage and has not been used since the early 1960's and since I am unfamiliar with setting up or running a set like this the train set is being sold in as-is condition. Condition: in good shape over-all, not seeing anything broken or damaged. The boxes are tattered and some ends are torn or missing. Painted surfaces have expected fading and or chips from age and usage.
