Description: Original illustration by Arthur Ross featuring a futuristic, Blade Runner-Like cityscape. This came direct;y from Ross own collection a couple of years ago. There is no indication what is may have been used for, but it is a large and finished airbrush painting. Hired by legendary designer Harley Earl, Arthur "Art" Ross worked on the designs of the Cadillac and Buick. Most notably the Buick Century 60, Cadillac Sixty Special, LaSalle, and Fleetwood. After World War II, he became OldsmobileĀ“s Chief Designer and helped shape automotive history for the next 13 years. His design imprint on the Olds extended to the 1961 models. His work shows an intriguing speculation of the future as one of the century's more brilliant visionaries imagined it from his perch in the fifties.
