To assemble this unusual Collection, each year Altoids challenges a panel of highly-regarded artists, curators, gallerists and journalists to identify emerging artists whose paintings, photography, works on paper, sculpture, videos and digital media are “curious,” “strong” and “original.” Panel alumni include David Byrne, Renee Cox, Dave Hickey, Jeff Koons, David Ross, Douglas Fogle, Lisa Phillips and Dan Cameron. Every year, Altoids tours 20-25 new acquisitions to galleries across the country.
