Aloe Polyphylla Spiral Aloe Live Plant Rare

Description: This listing is for a live rare Spiral Aloe plant, endangered in its native growing region in South Africa - botanical name Aloe Polyphylla. It is a starter plant that’s been growing and fully rooted in a 4inch grower pot and ready to be replanted into a larger container. The plant is slow growing but will eventually reach 2ft tall x 3ft wide looking just like the first photo provided which is for example & display purposes only. Please note that it can take 2 years before the plant shows a noticeable spiral and for this to happen it must have grown at least between 50 - 75 leaves. The listing is for one of the plants seen in last 3 photos, these plants will either have a clockwise or counter clockwise spiral once mature & look just like the first photo. The plant will be shipped in its grower pot to maintain optimal health upon arrival, the plant will be fine as long as it is replanted in proper well draining soil or cactus mix right away. Fortunately these plants are perfectly adapted & acclimated to Costal or mild Mediterranean climates. However if you live somewhere where it’s consistently above 89degrees for long periods of time it will appreciate some afternoon shade and will grow better in either a wooden or ceramic pot or barrel to keep the roots cool. When these plants are young they do not like being over watered or watered from the top directly into there young developing spiral, do not do this as it may rot the core of the plant. Once they are established they are gorgeous long lived and extremely hardy to drought, frost and deer. This is the smallest size I will ever have available to offer of these special and unique plants and I only have 4 of them left. Thank you for your interest!
