Description: Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm, Phaselis, CY 17 = 202/1 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [AΛ]EΞANΔPO[Y]Edge cracks Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, IZ above Φ. Price 2858. An interesting thing with this coin is the city ethnic Φ and the date IZ have been swapped. So the dies were originally carved with city ethnic on top and date at the bottom. Clearly this upset someone who had them flipped and recarved. NGC Choice XF 4/5 strike, 4/5 surface.
