Description: To create the runway dress (look #41) from the F/W 2002 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' collection, Alexander McQueen bound and enveloped the body with yards of gauzy lace that reimagined the body conscious bandage and zipper dresses of the 1980s made famous by the Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaïa, who McQueen greatly admired. In true McQueen style, he added the hauntingly dark aesthetic of an Egyptian mummy. This listing is for a top from the same collection. The top is made from black lace tiers sewn on to a black mesh, and has flowing lace strands that can be secured around the arms and waist, or left flowing down the back.
