Description: This painting is by Albert Londraville (1922-2015). He studied under the famous Russian American Master, Nicolai Fechin, and Albert was a MGM scenic artist who painted movie backdrops. Albert also studied at the Lukits’ Academy of Fine Arts and often painted together with Theodore Lukits on site (plein air) and in the studio (still life’s). During this time, Albert studied both Japanese Sumi-e and Chinese Brush Painting and Philosophy. See his full bio on my website www.albertlondraville.com. I acquired most of the large collection of paintings from the Albert Londraville estate including this painting. This one had been exhibited at the Pasadena Art Museum (December 1955-February 1956). Originally, it was not for sale (NFS) but there is also a sticker showing price of $225.00 ($2,562 in today’s dollars). This painting is 14” x 18” (21 1/2” x 25 1/2” with frame). It is mounted in the original large wood frame with several pieces of information on the back of the painting. This is a very special painting that was in a museum exhibition and it will look great in your home or office. See “Seller’s other items”. Over 200 original paintings at 50-75% off gallery prices, including 100 at less than $500.
