Description: Aeronautica Militare, a softcover bound collection of postcards published by Stabilimento Luigi Salomone ("Stab. L. Salomone"), Roma. No copyright year is listed, but the most recent year mentioned on the postcards in 1973. Measures 6.5 X 4 inches (16.5 X 19.5 cm.) and contains 36 postcards printed on high quality paper with color illustrations of the various badges/emblems of the Italian Air Force, going back to the late 19th century, with descriptions of each on the reverse. There is a 4 page introductory history in Italian, as well. Good condition. Externally worn: the front cover has a light brown oxidation stain that extends to the first page of the introduction only. There are scattered nicks and dents front and back. Inside, the postcards are unmarked and securely bound together (with two metal tabs). There's a slight transfer of the illustrations onto their facing pages (i.e. the postcard reverse). Two page corners have paperclip indentations (not pictured -- the binding is so strong I couldn't open them up for a photo). FREE Shipping in the USA. Thanks for looking!
