The stock base weighs in at 8.7 grams, and the new base is 2.6 grams for a weight reduction of 6.1 grams. In our testing this brought our mouse to just over 40 grams! Installation is fairly easy with a T5 torx and #00 philips screwdriver. There are 6 screws to remove. Check out our install guide for a step-by-step walkthrough. In the event that you want to remove the modification it is completely reversible. The original base can simply be reinstalled, and the mouse is back to original.
