Description: New variety of Adenium obesum (Desert rose). I received a lot of fresh seeds today (9/14/24) and have kept some that I started. I will add photos as the days pass. The last batch I received was for over 1100 seeds and I had 95% germination in most varieties. I am trying something with this batch. The most efficient and successful way to grow these seeds (at least from me) is to let them soak in water for 24 to 48 hours. During that time frame you should see them sprout. You can put them in your growing medium at that point or wait for the root to grow slightly longer. Do not wait too long as the root will curl back on the seed coat and you will have a deformed codex. My medium of choice is river sand. You can buy it at your nearer box store. Once the seeds have sprouted, lay them flat on wet sand. Cover them with a light layer of sand and water again. Let nature works and within a few days you will see baby Adenium pointing their head out of the sand. There is a lot of good videos and tutorials on the web!
