Description: Postcard RPPC 1940s Abbott & Costello movie comedy cowboys comedians sent to fan (my Mom) My late mother was star crazy in her tweens and teens, and collected autographed photos and other movie and music memorabilia. I am clearing out her home and going through her collections, and will be listing some over the next few months. Abbott & Costello were the most popular comedy team of the 1940s and 1950s, and the most highly paid entertainers of WWII. They made dozens of films, and some of their comedy routines are standards today. At the bottom of the vertical portrait is a facsimile signature in black that says "Bud Abbott - Lou Costello.-" Glossy postcard is unsent, so I believe it was sent to mom inside an envelope. Small bit of residue at top right edge of back. (See photos.) Slight yellowing. Light fading.
