Description: The exact provenance of these daggers is unknowable, at least by me. They were acquired by my father more than 50 years ago, and he told me that they were crafted in Yemen in the late 19th or early 20th century. Whether that is the case, I cannot say. He was the expert; I am not. What I can say is that they are simply beautiful. The blades are steel; the handles are bone; and the scabbards and pommels are brass. On the facing side, the scabbards are intricately worked. Testifying to their age, the bone handles show signs of wear and some cracks. But they are completely intact.
