Description: I purchased these at the family workshop of Josefina Aguilar in Ocotlan, Oaxaca, Mexico. These were made by her youngest son, Jose Juan Garcia Aguilar, who continues the famous family tradition. These ornaments represent several fish and one octopus. The octopus is missing a couple of tentacle tips, very minor. One fish has been repaired at the tail, it is not noticeable unless you look very very closely (see pics). Otherwise in beautiful condition; very unusual and cool. You can string these up or hang them using the attached wire. Each piece is signed by Jose. They measure approx 4” - 5” each. A gorgeous set of very cool handmade ceramic fish purchased directly from the artist in Oaxaca.
