8" BOWL, American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Crystal "Ribbon Star" pattern

Description: This is an extremely fine detailed & quality cut glass BowlMeasures: 8-1/8" wide top rim. 2" tall. This is a good shallow shape for easel display. This is from the American Brilliant period (1870 to 1920's).This pattern has a collector's name assigned to it of "Ribbon Star" because we do not have a record of who made it or what it was called. Majority of experts believe that J Hoare is a good possibility for the manufacturer but we are still guessing today. The name "Ribbon Star" is the acceptable pattern name and its very collectible.This pattern is known to be found on better quality glass "Blanks". With quality clear bright white & heavy best quality blanks and the extremely fine detailed cutting. Very collectible pattern today. Condition: It is over 100 years old . I see no visible rim chips or chunks. There is a tiny bit of typical micro "contact nips" inside the top rim that no one will see, as it is well hidden and does not detract from the beauty.
