KELLY's (Machine Gun - the original!) TOP 30 USA Machine Gun Kelly has been the host of many syndicated radio shows including both countdown shows such as this one and oldies shows. He has also produced many highly successful shows, the most famous, perhaps, his production of 'Live From The 60's with the Real Don Steele', a three hour weekly show that replicated the actual 60's sound as if it were broadcast back then, somehat like the famous 'Crusin' series but with the 'Boss Rock' sound for which Don Steele was a poster child for. Other series he either produced and/or hosted include:American Hit List (1998–present) similar in format to Live from the 60s except hosted by Kelly himself. This series featured a broader playlist stretching the 1950s to the 1970s, with a focus on 1964-73. This is the only Kelly program distributed by the Westwood One Radio Network. An updated version, Classic Hit List, has also been offered since the mid-2010s, which includes more 1980s songs and a classic rock lean; this show is currently distributed by The Compass Media Networks.Back to the 70s (1998-2007, 2011–present). First 52 episodes hosted by dj Charlie Tuna airing in reruns through 2007; subsequent revival (ca. 2011) hosted by Kelly himself. The Amazing 80s (1998–present) hosted by Kelly, marketed as a direct competitor to Backtrax USA and distributed by the Compass Radio Network.Your 90s Rewind (2015–present) hosted by Kelly.Top 30 USA (1980s), AC Radio top 30 countdown (or as the show implies a CountUP show) hosted by Kelly and distributed by The CBS Radio NetworkYour Good Time Oldies Magazine (1992–95), co-hosted by Kelly and Charlie TunaON EACH SHOW, MG HAD A SPECIAL FEATURE THAT RAN THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SHOW. THE THEMES REFLECTED HIS VIEW OF THE ROCK ERA AS BEING ALL INCLUSIVE AND NOT JUST A WEEK'S WORTH OF MUSIC SO YOU WILL HEAR A LOT OF OLDIES FROM NOT ONLY RECENT YEARS BUT BACK TO THE 60's IN ENJOYABLE THEMES SHOWING HIS LOVE AND RESPECT FOR MUSIC OF THE EARLY ROCK ERATHERE WERE ALSO RARE INTERVIEWS.THE SHOW CAME ON THREE LPS IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION, PLAYED ONLY ON THE DATE OF THE ORIGINAL NETWORK BROADCAST WITH MOST THEN DESTROYED SINCE THEY COULD NEVER BE AIRED AGAIN DUE TO THE TIME LIMITED NATIONAL COMMERCIALS ON THE PROGRAM. THIS MEANS THAT VERY FEW OF EACH SHOW SURVIVED TO THE PRESENT DAY.THE SHOW WAS RELEASED THROUGH THE CBS RADIO NETWORK WHICH TOOK SPECIAL PRIDE IN THE PRESENTATION AND PRODUCTION VALUES OF THEIR SYNDICATED SHOWS. THE FIRST SHOWS WERE HOUSED IN A YELLOW ALBUM BOX, LATER THEY CAME IN YELLOW TRI FOLD ALBUM COVERS AND TOWARDS THE END OF ITS RUN IN WHITE ALBUM COVERSTHE CUE SHEETS, AGAIN AS WITH ALL THE CBS RELEASES WERE PRINTED ON HEAVY BOND WITH THE COLORFUL SHOW AND NETWORK LOGOS ON EACH PAGE.THE SHOW IS A TREASURE AND BELONGS IN YOUR SPECIAL COLLECTION!THIS SHOW AIRED OVER THE WEEKEND OF JULY 27, 1987 AND WAS SHOW #213-87EACH SHOW HAD A SPECIAL THEME THAT RAN THROUGHOUT THE THREE HOURSBELIEVE ME, YOU WILL EVEN ENJOY THE VINTAGE NATIONAL COMMERCIALS ON EACH SHOW. IT IS AMAZING HOW EVEN THE COMMERCIALS BRING BACK MEMORIES AFTER ALL THESE YEARS WHEN WE HATED THEM SO MUCH BACK THEN. On this show you will hear great commercials from Wrigley Gum Greyhound Travel, Subaru Cars, Seagrams, and moreSHOW CONTENTS CAN BE SEEN ON THE CUE SHEETThese countdown shows are priced a little higher , but none of the other shows give you as much. And when you come down to it, find a rare quality show like this anywhere else for less! This is the original show sent for airing. It is NOT an unauthorized copy but the Real McCoy!!! I personally guarantee that every radio show that I sell is the original show sent to stations. Each show comes from my personal collection of thousands of radio shows of every genre. SO HERE ARE THE BIG QUESTIONS IF YOU DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT RADIO SHOWS: WHAT IS A RADIO SHOW? WHY COLLECT THEM? WHERE DO THEY COME FROM? Well, those are good questions, especially if you have never known of them. Radio Shows are syndicated productions by one of several large and small distributors who supply broadcast product to radio stations normally during weekends when the usual air personalities have a break. Radio shows came in two variations although the first I will tell you about was the most commonOne variation was sent to radio stations on what was called a 'barter system'. In the barter system, radio stations, only one in each major population 'market', received the show. It was provided free of charge to the radio station because it was paid for by the national advertisers whose adds were included in each break between segments. In the second variation, radio stations bought the rights to air the show. There were no national commercials included with the show. Radio stations recouped their investment by selling advertising on the show. Most aired on Saturday or Sunday mornings, afternoons or evenings or less often weekdays or during overnight segments. They often features some of the best known voices for their genre from across the country thus the Dick Clark's, Bob Kingsley's, Scott Shannon's and Casey Kasem's and Rick Dees and Dick Bartley and so many others. People collect them for various reasons. Some just collect the series because they like it and want them all. Some collect their favorite artists or genre of music. Rather than an album by the artist or a compilation downloaded through iTunes or wherever, they have a unique presentation of their favorite artist or music not available anywhere else and always with dj presentations which were very entertaining. Some collect interviews with their favorite artists as most shows had interview segments. AND, these shows are in limited quantity. They were pressed just for affiliate stations in the United States. Some of the more popular shows may have as many as 175 pressings of each week's show that aired but how many survived after airing is a huge unknown.(175 is the number of the top radio markets in the United States. Shows were pressed only for one station in each market)Stations beyond that top 175 could also air the show but had to take the satellite feed.So while many hundreds of stations across the country and overseas might air the weekly show, only 175 could enjoy the flexibility of the LP version.Think about it: 175 pressings for untold millions of music lovers all over the world who look for unique presentations of their favorite artistsMany stations just tossed them away after airing since they could not be played again due to the dated commercial content. So there may be only a few in existence. That makes them increasingly hard to find. They were first distributed on reel to reel tape or on lp, later on CD and even later (after 2000 for most shows) on CDR. Now they are not available at all to collectors since they are distributed by digital download. These shows become rarer and rarer every day because the people who buy them hold on to them. I have prided myself since the start to provide the best and fairest cost with a no holds barred guarantee that you will be happy or I refund your money. I sell them for near what I bought them for. I give volume discounts and discount postage always. As the postal service increases their rates, my shipping rates over the years has decreased. And, I have one of the biggest radio show libraries in the world consisting of over fifteen thousand show, so many that I don't even know all that I have and am sometimes amazed when I go to look for one show and find another that I did not realize I had. Finally, it is Americana at its best. Whether the show be from the 60's or 2000's, rock, countdown, oldies, country, classical, religious, jazz or big band, it is unique and home grown. And you just can't find them anywhere. Even record stores that still exist will rarely have any. Radio shows are wonderful representations of the real golden age of radio at least music wise. And every one you buy is an original, not a copy, not a remake - all are limited editions in the hundreds at most and most much less. Once you get hooked, like me, it is a love affair for life! Welcome to the Club! Remember that this and all the radio music shows that you see on eBay are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere. It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining. As well, it is a piece of radio and music history. You just aren't going to find these shows around very much longer as everything is now digitized and downloaded for play and shows are no longer sent out on CD's. Think of what they will be worth in a few years! (IF you wanted to sell.) I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price. It is a great show and would be a valuable addition to your collection. As always, for U.S. buyers, I charge only shipping on the first show you buy so the more you buy the more money you will save. For my international friends, shipping is managed through the safe, lower priced than through the USPS and reliable eBay International Shipping Service. Good Luck and may God richly bless you always and forever.
