Bird, Swan, Flowers This is a very nice selection of BIRTHDAY postcards that have the CLASSIC look for that era, and show FLOWERS, BASKETS, BIRD, SWAN, etc. These postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. The postcards are nicely designed and have a colorful and attractive look to them. These are nicely EMBOSSED postcards with the designs standing up on the front of the postcard. Also, these are AIR BRUSHED with colors, such as reds, blues, greens, purples, pinks, yellows, etc. An additional feature is that most of these have strong GOLD TRIM (6) in the design. They come from different publishers. They are attractive and capture the classic style used back in the early 1900s, and they provide a glimpse as to life back then. These are good postcards to add to a collection. Air Brushed postcards were made by first embossing the paper, and then coloring the paper by hand using an air-operated tool that sprayed paint, ink, and dye onto the postcard. As a result, each postcard is unique. Those postcards with GOLD trim had to have a second process. For example, the paper was embossed first, then it went through a process to add the gold to the postcard, and finally then to Air Brush the color. AIR BRUSHED postcards were unique and they only had a "short life". Most of these were "Printed In Germany" during the early years of the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have now become collector items, and they are a pleasure to look at. Overall, a nice selection of antique Air Brushed Birthday postcards at a reasonable price. The postcards are UNPOSTED (3) and POSTED (4) with cancel dates in the 1910 era. These were "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use eBay Standard Envelope mail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS Ground Advantage when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.
