JOHN Evening by Marie Gray 2 Pc Jacket + Skirt Sz 6These were purchased together - jacket with dickie is St. John Evening while the matching skirt label is the gold on black St. John Classics. St. John is famous for using dye lots that will mix and match with others over the years - especially black.Jacket is most likely Y2K or later - Long style adorned with three rows of black crystals trim along the classic shawl collar - across the detachable dickie insert and matches the black on black buttons on the two button closure. No pockets - princess seaming and substantial shoulder pads. This jacket can be worn with my St. John Dress for Neiman Marcus - my item #6593 which is also a St. John black Santana knit. Jacket measurements: Bust = 37" Shoulder to hem = 27" Sleeve = 23.5" Shoulder to shoulder = 16" Dickie is attached with snaps and measures 7.5" wide x 9.5" highMaxi skirt has a simple elastic pull on waist with straight lines and a 12" vent in the back center of the hem. Skirt can be shortened from the waist - as the skirt is straight it may or may not increase the hip area which may or may not require having the side seams tapered....it all depends on whether you can use extra hip room. It is a nice option but maxi skirts a making a huge comeback for formal events.Maxi Skirt measurements: Waist = 28-29" Hip area = 42" Waist to hem = 35.5" Vent on Skirt = 12" deepAll pieces are in terrific condition.
