Description: Vintage MCM 1960s 5 pc confectionary serving bowl set. Beautiful red, black and gold swirl lacquerware /melamine plastic. Each bowl has a different pattern. The larger serving bowl measures 10" in diameter, 2.75"H, and has an elevated base that measures 5.5" in diameter. The 4 smaller confectionary bowls measure 5.5" in diameter and 1"H. The 5 pc. set has a combined weight of 2lbs., 1.5 oz. This set is in good vintage condition with wear consistent with its age of 50+ years. A few areas of very minor paint loss, which I point out in the last two photos. Two of the bowls have a satin finish and the remaining 3 bowls have a very high gloss finish. Perhaps the two satin finish bowls were placed in the dishwasher, or used more frequently than the other bowls. I would recommend hand washing to further perserve the high gloss finish. There are no maker's marks with the exception of the name Davido Mariko on the base of one of the bowls. My research came up with no information on that name. Further research indicated these may have been made by a company called Naruko. Again, limited information on that as well. Thank you for your consideration of this lovely midcentury serving ware set.
