Description: Disney Star Wars DieCast Racers. R2 D2 Disney Pixar Racers and Wild Racers were sold exclusively at Disney theme parks. They have all been retired. Many are hard to find. Condition: all these Racers have been previously owned either on display or played with. Most have some kind of scrape, scratch, or ding. Please see ALL photos as they are a part of the description. The line originally started as Disney Wild Racers in 2001 under Disney Consumer Products and were sold in two-packs. Only 3 waves were made and the series was discontinued. However due to strong sales at the Disney Parks, merchandising obtained the original molds and started making their own cars in 2005, the original Wild Racers were under Hasbro brand. Disney started manufacturing them in 2005, changing the name to Disney Racers. With the Parks handling production, Lucasfilm joined in creating Star Wars racers as they loved the idea.
