Description: We have for sale natural, undyed raw silk. The silk that we have to sell now is dated 1962. It is 45" in width and is five yards in length. It is 'nubby' to the touch with small, little balls and bumps throughout. It is a nice neutral cream or off-white color that is speckled with darker brown pieces which gives it a warm, inviting look. It is very pleasing to the eye. This fabric weighs 12 ounces per linear yard or ten ounces per square yard. It is heavy and is perfect for upholstery or sturdy clothing. It is somewhat stiff, lays very well and does not wrinkle easily. It softens up after being laundered. Great for draperies; heavy enough to keep out the cold. It also looks great as a wall covering and other home decor projects. It is very popular and we have sold over one thousand yards on our BTY listing here on EBay. Please send questions or comments.
