Description: Another item from GNL Designs, Great Northern Liquidation, Springfield, Vermont.Lot of 5 Lightolier track lights, Cat. No. 6250-027 (white)These are classic soft square track heads from the company's Lytespan Geospot Lytespot product line, introduced circa 1990s, no longer made.Build quality is excellent (specification grade), with one piece heavy aluminum shades, cast aluminum black baffles (rather than plastic that's used in typical heads), ceramic sockets, heavy insulated wires, and heavy aluminum yokes. The only plastic used is in the track connector blocks, and even those use a higher quality plastic than normal. This is why the lights are still in very good condition and need no repair after all these years.We gave them a general cleaning to remove stubborn dust buildup. The result is decent but not perfect. The matte white and matte black finishes are also decent overall, but with some random nicks that can be noticed up close (probably not noticeable if the heads are mounted at any typical distance, like on a ceiling).Each head tested good electrically. They will mount on current Lightolier track systems, which appear to be the same as those used back when these heads were made.Each measures about 8" high x 3-3/8" square excluding the yoke widths and mounting parts on top of the track connectors (8" high from the surface of the track to the bottom of the head if the head is pointing straight down).These heads are designed for use with R20 or PAR20 lamps, Edison (medium) base.
