Description: Private Press by Symbol Records of Phoenix, AZ. The cardboard gatefold is in good condition with the exception that the back gatefold is split on top at the opening about half-way. The record itself was stored in a paper inner sleeve and is in near mint condition - no scratches seen on clean vinyl. The two songs in which Charles S. Poling "Narrates" are called, Baby Jesus and When David Was a Little Boy. Please see the listing photos for further information. I was able to find this information in the obituary of Charles S. Poling: "Birth: Dec. 22, 1892Death: Oct. 10, 1975MaryvaleMaricopa CountyArizona, USA The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZOctober 16, 1975, p. 4 Dr. Charles S. Poling Dr. Charles S. Poling, 82, an internationally recognized Presbyterian pastor and scholar, and a former resident of Wickenburg, died Friday, Oct. 10 in Maryvale Hospital. He was buried in Wickenburg Community Cemetery on Monday. Dr. Poling, who resided at 7135 Meadowbrook in Phoenix just prior to his death, had preached in churches throughout America and in Canada and England. He came to Wickenburg in 1951, and served the First Presbyterian Church here as pastor for nearly ten years. Dr. Poling was recognized as an authority on the U. S. Constitution, and in 1967 was given the Congress of Freedom Award. He was the author of two novels and a book of poems and he served as a chaplain in both world wars. In 1963 he was given the Christian Crusade's award as Outstanding Minister of the Year. In 1965 the mayor and city council of New Orleans named Dr. Poling an honorary citizen. He came to Phoenix in 1932 from New Jersey and he served as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in that city for many years."
