Here is a fossil fish from the world-famous fossil beds of Fossil Lake, Green River Formation, Wyoming. From the Eocene, 52 million years ago. From the 18" layer of Fossil Lake, this is a Knightia eocaena measuring approximately 4.3" in length. This specimen features good ray fins, caudal fin and natural dark brown pigment which is commonly found in this layer of the lake. The plate is about 5.5" x 3" and weighs 9.85 oz.
