Description: Up for sale here is this set of 4 brand new Cornell-Dubilier 18000 uf 100v capacitors. These are drop-in replacements for the Kenwood Model 500 and Model 600. They are a tiny bit smaller than the old caps, so you may need to wrap the base of each one with a little bit of electrical tape to get it to fit the clamp tightly. These are the same capacitors I use when I am rebuilding vintage gear. These measure 50mm in diameter and 80mm tall. Each capacitor has five terminals, but you only need to use two of them. There are two positive, two negative, and one dummy lug. These have a bit more capacitance and can handle more voltage than the original caps, but they are perfect replacements and will work great. A note about installation: Main filter capacitors are usually used to provide the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so one (or two) of them will appear to be wired backwards (with positive to chassis ground). This is normal. Before you replace your capacitors, take some clear pictures of the wiring so you will know how to connect the new ones. If your equipment starts blowing fuses after replacing the main filter capacitors, you probably wired one (or two) backwards. US shipping and handling is $10, and international is $40.
