How To Use Your Mushroom Grain Spawn Bag:*Remove the bag from the packaging *Unfold the bag and gently massage the bag to loosen the grain *Wipe down the bag and all utensils with 70% isopropyl alcohol *Inoculate your bag using a spore syringe via the self-healing injection port *Cover self-healing port with micro-tape *Set the bag aside in a dry, dark place for 5-10 days with an average temp of 75-80F *Gently mix up the mushroom spawn to promote full colonization. *Once fully colonized the bag may be used to spawn to coir or any other bulk substrate Each bag comes pre-sterilized and contains 3 pounds of our Magic Milo grain to provide you with massive yields and rapid mycelium growth! One of the key features of our spawn bags is the optimal moisture content. Without moisture, the mycelium will not colonize properly. That’s why all of our grain spawn bags are hydrated to a target of 50%, ensuring that your mushrooms will grow strong and healthy. To achieve the best results, wait until the mycelium has grown three to four inches 25%/30%. Then, without opening the bag, carefully break up the colonized grain and mix it into the uncolonized grain. This will speed up the colonization process and ensure that your spawn is ready to use. WE RECOMMEND This product must be opened and used only in a clean, sterile environment. We recommend the use of a laminar flow hood or still air box.If inoculating with liquid culture through the injection port, a completely sterile environment is not required: though we do recommend cleaning everything thoroughly with 70% isopropyl alcohol and flame sterilizing the needle (until red hot) just before inoculation.
