Description: This vintage puzzle map features beautifully detailed figures of animals representing different parts of the United States. Mostly wild animals, but a couple domestic. The 43 pieces of the puzzle are made with a pewter finish over resin. They fit together into a recessed cut-out in soft velvet of the shape of the US. I have researched this and found it was designed by artist Fred Szatkowski. It is a great way to learn about the animals and birds in the regions of the United States while enjoying a fun and challenging puzzle. This would be a great puzzle for those rainy days up at your lake house, camp or cabin. It measures 8 1/2" by 11 1/2" by 3/4". See photos with Sharpie for scale. (Sharpie not included.) A sliding plexi-glass top protects the puzzle when not in use. There are a couple scratches on the plexi, please see photos. This is a previously enjoyed puzzle and there are some scuffs here and there on the case, but it is in nice shape. This will be shipped with a piece of protective material between the puzzle and glass, but some pieces may shift in transit. Non-smoking home.
