I’m a professional musician, and this bass got me through high school and into top undergraduate classical bass programs (IU, CCM, etc.). After purchasing a professional-level orchestral bass, I’ve used this one for jazz gigs. It’s punchy sound makes for an excellent jazz bass. Note the cracked neck, which was professionally repaired long before I acquired it in 2001 and has posed no problems since. This also makes it an affordable option for the quality of the instrument. The bass is very easy and enjoyable to play. It comes with a soft case, which is in excellent condition. It is currently strung with jazz strings.
