32"x79" Antique Vintage Salvaged Interior Oak Veneer Wood Wooden Door 5 Panels

Description: /Penn Antique Restoration 32"x79" Antique Solid Wood Interior Door w/5 Panels Elegant, antique interior door salvaged from a 1930's home in the Greenridge section of Scranton, PA (see last photo). The door has a solid oak core covered in 1/16" thick oak veneers. The door has 5 recessed (flat) panels on both sides. and is stained on both sides (not painted). Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Hardware: No hardware included, however, we have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store. * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Uneven Height: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote. Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst damage on the door is a minor break in the veneer (see 4th photo). Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left or away from a room towards the right. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction. Modification: Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
