Description: Amazing complete set of cardboard Christmas ornaments designed by Midcentury artist Chuck Gruen and made in the studios of Joseph Pelkey. Front of the box states 28 but there are 30 inside…several of the designs include a duplicate, however they are in a different colorway. The designs are printed on thick chipboard with metallic foil and the reverse sides all have a snowflake pattern in various colors. It doesn’t appear that any of these have been used, as the holes haven’t been punched out to hang them. They range in size from 1.75” high to the cute cherub with the beehive measuring 13” tall. This collection is such a great example of true MCM style…the color palette, characters and overall feel would add to the collection of any fan of Midcentury kitsch!! Hang them on the tree or frame them to spread around your home…spread some vintage cheer! While these appear unused, there are a few that have a bit of some kind of residue on them…please see photos and feel free to ask questions!
