Description: American Baucus style vintage folding chairs designed by Walter E. Normally around 1941-43 in America. This elegant folding design was part of a larger conversation in the design community about plywood use that culminated in the creation of the Charles & Ray Eames famous LCW. There is a maker's mark incised on the back of each chair, in a circle. The stamp tells it was made by American Seating Company, Grand Rapids Michigan, who are still in business. Seat height- 16.75" Seat Interior Width - 15.5" Seat Interior Depth 15.25" This folding chair was originally made for the army making it very sturdy.
