Description: The 2nd Battalion 2nd Aviation Regiment (Also known as the “Wild Cards”) is part of the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade in the 2nd Infantry Division. It has the distinction of being the only Assault Helicopter Battalion on the Korean Peninsula as well as being the only Army Aviation unit that bases out of the city of Seoul. The unit’s mission is provide Air Assault, Air Movement, and general aviation support operations to the ground forces serving here in Korea, to include Republic of Korea partner forces.
