24" Antique K*R (Kammer Reinhardt) Simon Halbig 121 German Character Baby Doll

Description: We are pleased to offer for your consideration absolutely unique A Magnificent Large 24" Tall K STAR R (Kammer & Reinhardt) Simon & Halbig 121 Antique German Bisque Socket Head Character Baby Doll on Five Piece Bent Limb Composition Ball Jointed Baby Body Marked with incised German doll marks and numbers on the back of her head: K Six Pointed Star R Simon & Halbig 121 (mold number) and 62 on the lower neck rim (doll size in CM). Kammer & Reinhardt registered their six pointed star trademark in the U.S. December 8, 1911, claiming they had used it since 1898. She's on her Original antique fully articulated ball-jointed five-piece bent limb composition baby body with its original finish, and with movement at the neck, shoulders, hips and knees. She has big brown sleep glass eyes, painted raised and feathered eyebrows, appears to be tiny reminder of real hairs upper lashes and painted upper and lower lashes, original brown curly wig, rosy blushed cheeks with cute dimples, an open mouth with outlined lips, wobble tongue, two upper teeth, accented red nostrils, lightly dimpled chin and nicely formed ears. Her composition five-piece bent limb baby body has original red lines between fingers and toes. She has Vintage DYNEL FIBER DOLL Wig, size 15 and pate, as shown on the photo. She is wearing definitely antique period long slip gown/dress, made of the finest batiste fabric embellished with a scalloped flounce with very delicate embroidery, panties with laced trim, and absolutely amazing (not antique, but likely vintage) knit booties with pink ribbon ties. She has very cute delicate chain bracelet on her left wrist. Measurements approximately: 24 1/2" tall, and 15 1/2" - circumference of her head Condition Report: AS PICTURED. Totally original unrestored condition. The bisque head has no chips, hairlines or restoration. The glass eyes are open and close as should be. The composition body has its original finish with some expected age soiling, wear, scratching, some points of tiny clipped off paint here and there, mostly at the neck and fingers, which is typical and to be expected. The stringing is generally good. The joints have some typical and expected wear. All of her fingers and toes are intact. There are minor residues of of glue after unstuck pate around the head opening, some soiling, which we didn't try to clean. The dress shows aging, wear, some not major soiling and slight darkening.. Please, note: different monitors may represent some difference in colors or shades. Please, read description, examine and enlarge all photos and ask any questions you may have before buying. We intentionally didn't clean this doll to represent it in its original antique condition, without adding the fake fancy clothes made recently to attract your interest and raise price. You could find "like an "antique" doll clothing made from artificial "silk" with machine embroidery for less than couple of tens of dollars on any online market.
