The Fed-4b was in production from 1969 to 1976.Rebodied version of the Fed-4a based on a smaller meter components, and featuring a new shutter and winding mechanism from the Fed-3b.As on the 3b, the strap lugs have been left off.Serial number embossed on back. Only 269,008 units produced (relatively small number compared to the 5.5 million Soviet cameras ever produced).The camera sports a selenium meter with the metering mechanism all under the top plate.The rewinding knob is integrated into the side of the top panel. Focal plane shutter with speeds 1s/500s + B, advance lever, LTM39 Leica screw-mount lens flange, and eyepiece with diopter adjustment. CosmeticsCamera and lens look pristine. Rangefinder is the greenish type. It's bright and focus is sharp and aligned.Speeds are spot on along the entire range.Curtains are whole and sound (*). Light meter reacts to light, although accuracy cannot be guaranteed. The self-timer is NOT working. (*) NOTE: One curtain shows an almost invisible repair (see last picture), that's lightproof and not to be worried about. Lens: focus and aperture rings are smooth.Glass is crystal clear with no issues. Clean blades. Thank you.
