To me NASCAR died that day. I then followed through supporting Dale Jr for a few years until he retired after getting a concussion during a race accident. I haven’t been back to Daytona in several years but after hearing about another one of the greatest sportsman attempting to compete in the 2023 Daytona 500, my interest piqued. I went back. World class sportsman Travis Pastrana qualified and drove in the 2023 Daytona 500 and literally led a lap!! While almost half the field got eliminated from crashing during the race towards the end, Travis Pastrana COMPLETED THE DAYTONA 500 FINISHING IN 11TH POSITION !!!!! This is thee genuine T shirt sold at Daytona and is still in its protective plastic sleeve. I have several more shirts but am seriously considering holding onto them because this is such an important, once in a lifetime thing. Travis stated today, Sunday February 19, 2023, that he will not race in the Daytona 500 again. This is history. Travis Pastrana made history.
