2012 Larrivee P-05 Quilted Mahogany Guitar 116291 ~ CUSTOM SHOP ~ Mint ~ RARE !!

Description: 2012 Larrivee P-05 Quilted Mahogany Parlor Guitar 116291Made in Oxnard California ~ Custom Shop 4/6/2012 All solid woods. The top has developed a natural golden hue. The Quilted Mahogany back and sides are nicely colored, visually holographic and well grained. The back and the sides match perfectly in color, hue and striation. Mahogany is a booming wood, and the quilted mahogany is even stiffer and gives this small guitar a big sound. The trebles are tinkly and rich, a very well rounded sound. The special top has silking bands that are huge, showing off how perfectly quarter sawn the Sitka Spruce truly is, a visual marvel of a top. I tried to capture the holographic visual effects of the quilted mahogany backs and sides in the attached video. I wish I had more film school talent, but one can start to see the way that the wood shifts the light with it's special grain. The Custom Parts Are: Quilted Mahogany Backs and Sides. FYI: QM upgrade is Market Price. Headplate is Ebony with a Gold Mother of Pearl JCL inlay, no silver line. The bridge wings carry a pair of Wendy's Abalone Vine inlays. Binding is Indian Rosewood to compliment the Quilted Mahogany backs and sides. The purfling is also Indian Rose that is BWBW on the top and WBW on the sides. Excellent to mint condition. No wear marks, scratches, dings, dents, or cracks in the wood or finish. Near Factory perfect. Neck surface and finish is mint, relief is correct. Near Factory perfect fingerboard. No fret wear, more like polished. Action set medium low: Low E 6.5/64" (.100" or 2.6mm) High E 5.5/64" (.086" or 2.2mm). No Buzz even when played somewhat aggressively. Saddle still has more room for adjustment, current height in middle: 10/64" (.156" or 4mm). There is no wear or damage on the top or anywhere, not even on the pickguard. I play fingerstyle and I do not use picks or fingernails. And I have not played this gem. See pics. Non-smoking home. Kept in temperature/humidity controlled room and in the case since I bought it in late 2013. Please ask your questions before bidding as this guitar is being sold as stated and cannot be returned. I have about 60 pictures if you would like to see more. I have been a player since 1965, and a collector since 1985, so I have a lot of clues. The current strings aren't bad at all, but I want the guitar to change hands sounding its best. I will give this guitar its final cleaning and a new set of strings, included in my Buy It Now Price. Please specify if you want D'Addario Phosphor Bronze or Elixir NanoWeb. FYI: The Elixir NanoWebs are the Factory choice by Larrivee for their super long life, I use them exclusively, cuz my guitars sit for long periods unused. When I used to play out, I used D'Addario for their superior sound, but I did change them way more often. Includes the original Larrivee Hardshell Archtop Case, which is also near mint. A Temperature Data Logger will be sent along in the case with the guitar. I use UPS because their track record with me has been spotless, and they reputedly keep all shipment phases within a reasonable temperature and humidity range. However, I send a Temperature Data Logger with each high end guitar to confirm that. If you find the temperature alarm LED is blinking on arrival, contact me immediately. You are welcome to plug it into a USB port and check out the pdf, it shows temperature data every 10 minutes. I would really appreciate if you send me the pdf, at least by eBay messages. You can turn it off by pushing and holding down the power button for 3+ seconds. It is a single use logger and cannot be used twice. If there is ANY damage to the guitar, you MUST return the data logger to me. And DON'T turn it off, so it records the return voyage temperatures as well. One logger holds 60 days of data, but it is a one trick pony, it only records once. I will ship ground insured UPS. If you have another preference or want it faster, please let me know.
