Description: 2012 - 2023 S Uncirculated ATB National Park & American Womens San Francisco Mint 56 Coin Business Strike COMPLETE Set (to date) For sale is a complete (to date) 2012 - 2023 San Francisco mint quarter set. This set includes the America the Beautiful quarters (46 “S” business strike quarters) & 2022-2023 San Francisco mint American Womens quarter (10 coins to date, 5 from 2022 and 5 from 2023) directly from US Mint Rolls (never circulated and lustrous) for a total of 56 quarters. When the "America the Beautiful" National Park Quarters series began in 2010 and 2011 the mint released into general circulation coins from the Philadelphia ("P") and Denver ("D") mints (five different national park designs released each year). In 2012, and to the end of the National Park series in 2021, the mint released the regular P & D National Park quarters into general circulation as before but then surprised us all by issuing quarters from San Francisco ("S") as well. However, the "S" coins were NOT released into general circulation and were only sold directly from the mint in rolls and bags. The mintages on the business strike (i.e. non-proof) "S" National Park quarters are therefore significantly less than the "P" and "D" general circulation quarters. With the beginning of the American Women Quarter series in 2022, the mint once again has offered “S” San Francisco business strike coins, though again, only to collectors lucky enough to purchase the limited roll set of the business strike 2022 & 2023 “S” quarters. To date there have been five 2022 American Women designs released (Maya Angelou, Dr. Sally Ride, Wilma Mankiller, Nina Otero-Warren & Anna May Wong) and five 2023 American Women designs released (Bessie Coleman, Edith Kanaka'Ole, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jovita Idar & Maria Tallchief). The 2022 and 2023 business strike “S” quarters have been minted in extremely limited quantities (about 500,000 per design) and therefore already sell for a significant premium (some currently selling for about $5 each). The 56 “S” quarters in this set represent ALL of the business strike “S” quarters released thus far from the mint since the mint started minting “S” business strike quarters for the first time in decades in 2012. This set includes all of the 46 "S" business strike (non-proof) quarters released in the now complete National Park quarter series + 10 “S” business strike (non-proof) 2022/2023 American Womens quarters to date (in 2024 through 2025 it is expected the mint will produce 5 different designs with "S" business strikes each year), and each coin is directly from a US Mint bag or roll and uncirculated. These are nice quarters and are difficult to find given they are only sold directly through the mint (and all of them have been sell outs at the mint)! Note that these are regular clad quarters and are silver in color despite some of my photographs, because of lighting, looking like they may be something other than regular silver colored clad quarters.
